Xiaomi is apparently preparing the global launch of its latest cable with a rather lengthy name, the 6A High-Speed USB4 Braided USB-C to USB-C. The cable is currently only available on the Chinese market, but its appearance on the manufacturer’s official global website clearly indicates that it will soon head to other regions of the world.

The cable can transmit power up to 240 W, which is the current maximum for USB-C cables, and supports fast charging protocols PD 3.1 as well as Xiaomi HyperCharge 120 W.

It also handles a peak data transfer speed of up to 40 Gbps thanks to compatibility with the USB4 Gen 3 protocol. This allows not only extremely fast file transfers but also connection of monitors with resolution up to 8K at 60 Hz.

The new cable from Xiaomi also focuses on durability

The company equipped the new cable with a dark grey braiding, which ensures high durability. In internal tests, the cable successfully withstood more than 10,000 bends and resisted a pull of over 100 N, so the risk of damage during frequent carrying, for example, should be minimal.

The cable length is 1 meter, which is a standard and sufficient length for most uses at home and in the office. It is not yet clear whether Xiaomi will offer other lengths or color variants.

Je ale zapotřebí vzít v potaz, že kabel míří především na uživatele, kteří potřebují opravdu maximální možnosti nabíjení a datového přenosu; pro nenáročné uživatele nemusí technické parametry tohoto kabelu dávat příliš smysl.

V Číně se příslušenství prodává za cenu 129 jüanů (cca 380 Kč). Výrobce zatím neuvedl, kdy přesně bude kabel dostupný v Evropě a dalších regionech, ale zařazení produktu do sortimentu na oficiální globální webové stránce napovídá, že bychom se snad mohli dočkat poměrně brzy.
