IKEA BLOMPRAKT will be a Bluetooth speaker and lamp in one. What do we know about the price?

Swedish furniture giant IKEA has unveiled its latest addition to its smart speaker portfolio. Following the recent termination of its partnership with Sonos, comes the brand new BLOMPRAKT model, which combines the function of a lamp and a Bluetooth speaker. The new product will offer not only a stylish design with adjustable lighting direction, but also music playback via Bluetooth 5.3 and support for the Spotify Tap function.

Elegant combination of light and sound

The BLOMPRAKT speaker stands out primarily for its design, which combines light and sound into one device. The lamp has an adjustable shade angle, allowing you to direct the light exactly where you need it. The device is equipped with an integrated LED light source and can create a pleasant atmosphere in any room. It will be available in three color variants –⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠ beige, black, and blue.

The new speaker from IKEA can be easily paired with a phone or other device thanks to Bluetooth 5.3. Furthermore, it can be connected with other compatible speakers to create a multi-room audio system (reported by The Verge). The Spotify Tap button will then allow you to continue listening where you last left off with a single press, or skip to the next track according to your musical taste.

What do we know about the price and availability?

With the new BLOMPRAKT speaker, IKEA is primarily focusing on affordability and simplicity. Although the official price for the Czech market has not yet been announced, the speaker should cost less than 100 euros abroad (which is less than 2,500 CZK in conversion). It should go on sale in October this year, in all markets where IKEA operates. It is almost certain to reach us as well.

IKEA also recently introduced and launched the NATTBAD Bluetooth speaker, which stands out primarily for its retro design inspired by classic radios. Like the upcoming BLOMPRAKT, it features a Spotify Tap button for quick music playback.

NATTBAD is available in three color options –⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠ black, yellow, and pink –⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠ and in addition to functioning as a speaker, it can also serve as a stylish decorative element for the home. In the Czech Republic, it costs 999 CZK.
